One of the things that I want to focus on in my minimalist journey is shopping smarter. I want to know that I am spending my money wisely and really supporting companies and small businesses that align with my views. Ethical, sustainable, women owned, diversity focused, and overall well-rounded are criteria that I look for as I try out different businesses. When searching around for new companies to support, Causebox popped up and I started to get curious.
The first thing I noticed is that Causebox is doing really great things for a lot of different areas, and also giving back to causes I believe in. They support humans (which seems to be a novel idea these days), curating the best quality, making ethical and sustainable options accessible to a wider base, being honest and bringing delight into your home. I can certainly get behind all of these values.
In addition to their values really aligning with causes I support, this box is a really great value. I was actually on the hunt for a nice tea kettle to boil water for coffee and came across Causebox through that search. The tea kettle featured in the Winter 2021 Box is beautiful, but at a price tag of $95, it was totally out of reach. Until I learned that the Causebox subscription is $50 a season. That automatically made the tea kettle cheaper! And I would receive 5 more products, some of which I already had my eye on purchasing similar. Sounds like a dream!
Let’s dive into the products included in this box, and how you can grab your own box!
Brushed Gold Kettle
So this was really the product that sold me on Causebox as a whole. It’s the perfect size for 3 cups of coffee, and looks stunning on my stove top. Not to mention that it supports local artisans in Uganda.
Marble Geo Coasters
I’ve always thought that having coasters was such an adulting move. And well, I guess I’m an adult now! These are beautiful and such well made. Perfect for my coffee cup, or better yet a glass of wine!
Silky Pillowcase
This is more of a product that I’ve had my eye on for a while but never made the purchase. A silky pillowcase is so much better for your hair and face and this one feels amazing. It also works pretty well with the rest of my random pillowcase vibe.
Reusable Zip Pouches
About 1.5 years ago I started to make more sustainable choices in my kitchen and ziplock bags were a sticking point for me. I purchased a pack of 2 and use them all the time, or at least I do when they are clean. This pack of 5 is perfect to have on hand and I love the variety of sizes.
Peony Foot Masks
I don’t know about you but my skin gets SO dry in the winter it’s a bit ridiculous. My feet are no exception so these foot masks have been so nice to incorporate into a self-care Sunday routine. They work to moisturize the bottom of my feet and the scent is so good!
Face Toner
Last but not least is another product I’ve had on my list for a while. As part of my yearly goals, I’m trying to focus on my skin care routine. I’ve been liking this toner so far as part of my pm routine and I’m happy that it came in my box for me to try out!
Overall, I really think that Causebox is a great value money wise and conscience wise. Their attention to small businesses is genuine and something I’d love to see more of in different companies. The quality of products is awesome, especially for a subscription box. I also love that it only comes each season so that it isn’t an overload of random things but actually fits with what I’m looking for already. I wish I would have started my subscription earlier, as some of their past boxes have items I’ve been eyeing. If you are looking to try out Causebox, use my link for $10 off your first box!
